Friends of the Israel Defense Forces Annual Galas 2008-2021

The Los Angeles Chapter of the FIDF was founded in 1981 by Leo David, always with the goal of raising money for the young men and women soldiers of the IDF and to create a community that cares for and supports Israel and its soldiers.

Since 2008, Waking State Design has created the branding and designed all visual communications surrounding, for their major fundraising annual “Making a Difference” Gala that attracts north of 1,000 people and has raised in the vicinity of $35-$65 million each year. Hosted by Haim and Cheryl Saban from 2008-2018, musical entertainment has included Pharrell Williams, Seal, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Boccelli, the Beach Boys, Lionel Ritchie, and David Foster and Friends.
